FAMILY UNITES AS LAGUDA DECENDANT UNION HOLDS FIRST ANNUAL RAMADAN LECTURE

Dateline Lagos was the prestigious Molade Okoya Thomas hall, Lagos  island,Lagos state.

Saturday the 26th 2015 will forever remain indelible in the memories and the lives of the family members of the popular LAGUDA DESCENDANT UNION of Lagos Island, as sons and daughters across all walks of life gathered under one umbrella to attend the first family Annual Ramadan lecture put together by the family with the theme ''IMPORTANCE OF FAMILY UNITY''.

Speaking at the lecture, Guest lecturer,Alhaji Abdul Raheem Abdul Rahman advised the family to continue to live in unity and love despite their divergent religious and political affiliations and views.

Alhaji Abdul Rahman told the family that Allah will never forgive any one who truncates the oneness of a family as stated in the Holy Quran,adding that the family should not give the room for any intruder to create chaos between them.

The Laguda family are known to be the followers of the Portuguese who came to Nigeria before they finally settled down in Lagos island and can be located in areas like Lagos Island,Apapa, Ogba,ikota,but few to mention.

At the gathering,a new special account details created for LAGUDA DESCENDANT UNION was unveiled to family members in other to contribute their dues and donation for the benefit of the family.

Alhaja Rafiat Laguda, one of the family members who attended the lecture and spoke in an enthusiastic mood to august24online.com said,'' I  have been waiting for a day like this to come, so that I can dine and wine with members my family which we have lost contact for years and those we have never met before adding that the family should not put an end to this kind of wonderful reunion so as to bring every body back home.

Also speaking Bale of Ikota Town, a suburb in Lekki Area in Lagos state, Chief Nosiru Laguda gave kudos to the Chief planner of the event and his team mate by Hon Ishola Laguda, a seasoned politician in Lagos island to quickly put every measure and statistics in place on how subsequent lecture will look like,''because meeting all sons and daughter of my family today is a joy I can never buy from the market, as he describe the day as one of the most memorable day in his life."
