In a bid to secure lives and properties, residence of Lagos Island who alight at the Adeniji Adele junction on the third mainland bridge, Lagos Island, Lagos state has call on the inclusive Governor of Lagos, Mr Akinwunmi Ambode to quickly provide them police security van to secure lives and properties of islanders who alight at the route at the wee hour of the day on a daily basis.

august24news.com gathered that Adeniji Adele junction is a popular bus stop while driving from third mainland bridge to Lagos Island,but usually in a silent mood at night and full of hoodlums under the bridge who cause all sort of atrocities and jump into the Pelewura market as hide out.

According to a resident and community leader who ply the route on a daily basis, spoke with august24news.com on condition of anonymity, said as a tax payers ''I am entitle to freedom or movement anytime any day and to be secured by the Government, see, "let me tell you on several occasions snatching of bags, Phones and Kidnapping has been the order of the day here when no security personnel on ground to manage the situation, I wonder why the acclaimed caring government will fail to provide security to its citizens which is the primary function of every serious government .

Speaking on why the ancient Pelewura market should be demolish by Government, the community leader further stressed that, hoodlums has been using a particular portion down there linked to Pelewura market as their hide out after carrying out their havoc.

The community leader however, applauded the government of Mr Akinwunmi Ambode for providing light in every nocks and crannies of the state in the project tagged "Light up Lagos" but argued that more needs to be done.

Effort to speak with the alleged chairman of Pelewura market, Alhaji Saka Onimole proved abortive as at the time of filling in this report.

It would be recall that, recently the state Governor under the hospice of Governor Akinwunmi Abode distributed security gadget worth millions of Naira to police personnel to mark its one year anniversary in office but omitted Adeniji Adele Junction.
