As part of his continual effort to curb the deadly Boko Haram sect from attacking Eti Osa Local Government and its environs, following the arrest of some suspects believed to be members of the sect.

Hon. Abayomi Daramola, the most rated security conscious Executive Secretary of Iru Victoria Island Local Council Development Area of Lagos state, held a fruitful and positive  stakeholders security meeting in the council last thursday.

The peaceful meeting, which was held for several hours behind closed doors with top security operatives and later metarmophosed to stakeholders meeting in the community took place at the Senator Oluremi Tinubu's Hall inside Iru Victoria Island Local Development Area.

According to the executive secretary of the council, Hon Abayomi Daramola, told the mammoth crowd that it is better to prevent bad occurrences in the community rather than spending millions of naira in rescuing victims. Daramola stated that his government is doing every thing humanly possible to make Eti Osa free from Boko Haram attack.

Also speaking at the meeting, the Divisional Police Officer of Victoria Island Police Station, CSP Segun Ajamolaya urged the stakeholders to be vigilant and be at alert of any strange happenings in their surrounding by feeding the police with prompt and vital information. He assured the gathering that every informant will be secured and protected, that gone are those days when sources of information were not properly protected, he freely gave out his direct hot lines in case of any emergency.

Also in attendance at the meeting were traditional White Cap Chives, Head of Hausa and Igbo Communities, Market Men and Women, Religious Leaders, Members of the Nigerian Labour Congress (NLC) amongst others.
