SCOTT SWORN IN AS EYC FIFTH CHAIRMAN, promise three packages under one year in office

Mr Abayomi Femi Scott had been sworn-in as the fifth chairman of the prestigious EKO YOUTH COUNCIL (EYC) today following a peaceful and free and fair credible election held at the popular cathedral primary school, Lagos Island,Lagos.
Scott, A retired Auditor from the PHCN and former financial secretary of the congress defeated Mr Yakub Aromashodun who was a former coordinator for National poverty Eradication programs (NERMA) in Lagos state and vice chairman of the Congress during the last EYC Administration with twenty 27votes to 25votes.
EYC is a social responsibility organisation founded two decades ago with the aim of giving back to the community and stood as a voice for Lagos youths.
In his acceptance speech,the newly EYC chairman who spoke with anxiety told august24online.com that, ''I will use my new office as the chairman of this reputable congress to promote peace,love and unity among our members,fully registration of the club under the corporate affairs commission (CAC) and look for a suitable complex which will serve as the congress sectariat under one year in office''.
In his own comment,the executive secretary of Lagos Island local government, Hon Adetoyese Olusi who sworn-in the newly elected chairman congratulate him and pledge his support to work with the newly chairman as he promise that his door will always be open for him.
Olusi,now urge him to forget about the election process and look forward for innovative and ideology to take the congress to the next level.
According to the chairman of EYC Electoral commission, Mr Adigun Sulaimon thank his team and members of the congress for giving him the privilege to hold a peaceful election of such adding one of the carteria for making the election suitable was that he never listen to any side talks while carrying on his job.
Our correspondent gathered that Past chairman of EYC includes Mr Yusuf Animashau,Mr Bashiru Ope,Prince Taoreed Dosunmu and Doctor Oladipo Bamgbose respectively.
